New immunization legal requirements were adopted by the NJ Department of Health in December, 2007.  These requirements were put into effect in September 2008. Parents will be REQUIRED to provide proof that their child has met the following immunization requirements:

Children born on or after January, 1997 and entering grade 6 must receive the below immunizations:

Tdap booster prior to entry into sixth grade.  (not less than five (5) years from last tetanus booster).

Meningococcal – ALL children prior to entry into grade six (6) or on 11th birthday.

 Proof of immunization MUST be turned into the nurse PRIOR to the first day of school in September, 2009.

On the rare occasions when the decision for early dismissal is make, after we open school, we will implement the automated district emergency phone system to notify parents. Keep in mind we will make certain that all children are accounted for prior to closing the schools.
